3D Brachy Software Update

The latest version of 3D Brachy software is now available! This update is another step forward in enabling clinicians with the ability to provide the highest standard of personalized care.

The following are some of the new features in 3D Brachy v2023.1.0:

    • The name of the Surface Brachytherapy Applicator software module has been changed to Nova Surface Applicator.
    • Users now have the ability to order Nova surface applicators, 3D printed in clear resin using SLA technology, via Adaptiiv On Demand.
    • Compatibility with the Varian BRAVOS™ afterloader system.
    • RT equipment, printer, and material configurations.
    • Tunnel labelling changes.
    • Applicator design summary.
    • A revamped trajectory planning process that includes real-time bend radius optimization, tunnel shortening, tunnel exit selection, lateral node movement, and much more. See below for more details.

New & Improved Trajectory Planning

Real-Time Trajectory Optimization

  • Moving a node can be done vertically or laterally during optimization and the visual indicator now changes in real-time.
  • Users can now shorten a trajectory, modify the tunnel exit point, or create dead-end tunnels prior to accepting the trajectories.

Adding Multiple Trajectories

  • Multiple sets of trajectories can now be added to each applicator, in either a sagittal or axial orientation.
  • Additional sets of trajectories can be manipulated independently.
