1: Automatically create required structures
- Starting point is a CT structure set with the contoured PTV
- Bolus defined based on PTV geometry
- PTV planning structure expanded into bolus to improve sampling
- Tuning structures created to ensure dose compactness while maintaining coverage
2: Strategic beam placement
- Beam placement is automated
- User selects number of beams, angular separation, IMRT or VMAT
- Two options for intelligent IMRT beam placement optimization
- Based on tangent to PTV
- Minimizing peripheral dose
- VMAT arcs based on tangent geometry
3: Automated Plan Optimization
- IMRT or VMAT optimization fully automated in the background
- A class solution of objectives is used ensuring conformity at Rx dose and dose compactness at ~50%D
- User’s default algorithm will be used (PO, PRO, with or without GPU)
- No interaction by the user required
4: Forward dose calculation
- Leaf sequencing (IMRT) and forward dose calculation are completed automatically
- User’s default volume dose calculation (e.g. AAA or AXB) will be used
