DermaPlan RT automates the superficial photon treatment planning workflow—from structure generation and beam geometry through optimization and dose calculation—helping clinical teams create consistent, high-quality plans in as little as two minutes.
Now, DermaPlan RT v2026.1 brings even more flexibility and control to the planning experience, with new capabilities shaped by user feedback.
DermaPlan RT v2026.1 introduces new features and workflow improvements designed to give clinical teams greater control and confidence when planning superficial treatments in Eclipse.
Built with user feedback in mind, the latest release expands OAR sparing capabilities, supports additional bolus workflows, adds greater visibility before plan generation, and improves compatibility across modern Eclipse environments.
Go beyond a single priority OAR. DermaPlan RT now allows you to define multiple dose-volume objectives across multiple organs at risk, with individual Upper, Lower, and Mean objectives for greater control over plan optimization. Your last-used objective list is also remembered between sessions to support recurring workflows.
Already scanned your patient with bolus in place? A new No Bolus (already in CT) option allows DermaPlan RT to plan directly on the anatomy as scanned, without creating a synthetic bolus. Existing sheet and irregular bolus workflows remain unchanged.
Know what will be created before plan generation begins. A new pre-generation summary displays key planning parameters—including technique, beams, prescription, normalization, and bolus mode—before changes are made to the patient.
A new cancel option lets users stop DermaPlan RT during the early stages of plan generation. DermaPlan RT automatically rolls back structures, courses, or plans it has started, helping ensure the patient is returned to its original state. Cancel is unavailable once Eclipse optimization and dose calculation have begun.
DermaPlan RT now supports Citrix-delivered and cloud-hosted Eclipse environments, including Varian FullScale, giving teams greater flexibility in how they deploy and access their treatment planning environment.
DermaPlan RT v2026.1 also includes reliability and workflow improvements, including more reliable re-runs on previously planned patients and updates for Halcyon 3D-conformal workflows.
